A virtual reality racing game developed for Mobil and modelled on Mount Panorama Circuit (Bathurst), Australia.
The aim of the game was to drive a Porsche 911 around the track in the quickest time. Players would actually sit in a real Porsche 911 with a virtual reality helmet to play the game. Head movements of the player were tracked as they looked around and the car was fitted with a special driving joystick to control the car in the game.
Mobil commissioned the game to help attract people to exhibition stands with the Mount Panorama Circuit (Bathurst) track modelled using photos and aerial maps.
The following lists the various roles, skills and responsibilities involved in producing this project, alongside details of certification and awards achieved, standards followed, association memberships, applications and computer languages used, network infrastructures and mentions in press and publications.
