A quality management system (QMS) solution designed for Anite's Local Government (LG) division based on another (BSI) accredited solution.

Anite's Local Government division required an ISO 9001 with TickIT quality management system. To save time and minimise duplicated effort, the existing SIS accredited solution was copied and rebranded to LG.

By implementing a quality system and gaining certification allows LG to demonstrate the commitment to quality as a principal management objective for all solutions and products.

UK government projects require this commitment to quality when companies bid for providing solutions.

Highlights

Distributed controlled access multi user repository system provided by Orbus Software, 'iServer'.
Specific publication of controlled content
Optimised methods to view data depending on user requirements.
Integrated with OpenSource content management system (CMS), 'Joomla' and Google 'Calendar'.
Accessible on any platform provided by Citrix software, 'Web Presentation Server'.
Scheduled automatic Adobe 'PDF' and WinZIP 'ZIP' creation of specific documents.
Scheduled automatic site statistics provided by 'Webtrends'.
Model office environment to aid testing of new software prior to release.

This solution was the first to be prototyped based on the successfully British Standards Institute (BSI) accredited SIS QMS solution.
